DESCRIPTION:Welcome Heroes and Companions to Caer Adarra! It’s time to explore the Tumult and chaos of a steep mountain range shrouded in eternal winter. This set brings eidolons like Jack Frost\, Persephone and The Snowman. Get ready to put your skills in Alteration to the test as you try to do so in the harshest of environments. \nFor this prerelease event\, we have two options for you: The Prerelease Tournament or the Learn-to-Play format: \nThe Prerelease Tournament ($35): \n\nWe will provide you with 7 booster packs which you’ll open to build a deck of 30 cards. Remember that unlike constructed formats\, you can play with up to 3 different factions for fun and unexpected synergies!\nEach attendee will receive a new Trial by Frost promo pack with exclusive alternate art cards\, rare or unique foilers and if you’re lucky a Unique card!\nEach attendee will receive a new\, heavy-duty set of tumult cards to change up the art style from the previous set. The extra thick carboard will ensure they survive the snow ahead.\nPrize booster packs will be awarded to the top players after the event.\n\nThe Learn-to-Play ($15): \n\nWe will provide you with a Starter Deck of your choice – no deck building required!\nWe will teach you how to play\, by either pairing you up with another new player\, or playing through a game with our staff.\nEach attendee will receive a new Trial by Frost promo pack with exclusive alternate art cards\, rare or unique foilers and if you’re lucky a Unique card!\nEach attendee will receive a new\, heavy-duty set of tumult cards to change up the art style from the previous set. SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game April Event
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Tamers! Come on down to The Missing Piece to participate in the April Store event! This event will be run in our unique Tag-Tamer format\, so please read the rules below to make sure you understand how to play: \n1. Two teams consisting of two players each will play against each other. Teams will alternate which member is taking a turn when the memory gauge passes over to them. This should create an order like so: Player 1 (Team A) -> Player 2 (Team B) -> Player 3 (Team A) -> Player 4 (Team B) -> Play 1 (Team A) again. \n2. Each player will have a 50 card deck\, and a Digi-Egg Deck containing anywhere from 0 to 5 Digi-Egg cards. Both decks within a team must build their decks as if it was one deck. This means there cannot be more than 1 copy of a restricted card between the two decks\, no more than 4 copies of an unrestricted card\, and no more than 50 copies of cards that allow that many copies within a deck. \n3. After players have finished any mulligans for their opening hands\, teams will create their shared Security Stack. The Security Stack will start with 3 cards from each player for a total of 6 cards. These cards must be initially arranged so the first card is owned by one teammate\, the next card is owned by the other teammate\, etc. \n4. Unlike in a normal game\, the first turn player is allowed to draw a card. Play then continues normally from there\, following the turn order demonstrated above. \n5. When a card of effect looks for a condition to be met by “your opponent” (for example: “If your opponent has 8 cards in their hand…”)\, you may choose which member of the opposing team meets the criteria. Similarly\, when attacking your opponents’ Security\, it is important to indicate which of the two players you are attacking for effects like Raid. However\, either teammate may activate the Blocker ability of their Digimon to block an attack\, regardless of who was targeted. \n6. In a similar vein to rule 5\, treat a card effect that says “both players” to instead read as “all players”. \nThe event will be scheduled as follows: \n2:30pm – In person sign ups will begin for players that didn’t register through our website. This is also a good time to double check and make sure you and your teammate’s decks follow the deckbuilding restrictions listed above\, as well as buy any food or drink from our friendly barista staff. \n3:00pm – Round 1 pairings are announced. There will be three 60-minute rounds where teams will play a best-of-1 match. \nAround 6pm – Prizes are awarded! All players can expect to receive promotional items for participating. Prizes may vary between players depending on their performance in the event.

SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game Digital Monster Day Commemoration Event
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Tamers! Be some of the first to play with the cards in EX9: Versus Monster in the Digital Monster Day event! \n3:30pm – In person sign ups begin for players that didn’t sign up through our website. This is also a great time to meet the other participants\, and get any food\, drink\, or supplies you may need for the event. \n4:00pm – Drafting and deckbuilding begins! Players will have 50 minutes to draft 6 packs worth of cards and build a 40 card deck. Remember\, when drafting\, you open a booster\, select 1 card from the 12 in the pack to keep\, and pass the rest to one of the players next to you\, while receiving cards from the player you didn’t pass cards to. This process repeats until 6 boosters have been opened and passed around. When building your deck\, don’t forget that you may ignore color requirements for standard digivolution\, and if you don’t have any cards in your digi-egg deck\, you may play a Lv.3 digimon as if there is a Lv.2 Ddigimon in the raising area. You may also have any number of copies of the same card in your deck. \n4:50pm – Round 1 pairings are announced. There will be three 50 minute rounds\, during which\, players will compete against each other in a best 2-out-of-3 match. Don’t forget to let our judge know the results at the end of the match! \nAround 8pm – Prizes are awarded! All players can expect to get promotional items for participating\, with the potential for additional prizes based on their performance in the event.

Want a place to test your latest Commander deck for Magic: The Gathering? Been wanting to get in a few more games of Pokemon? How about learning how to play a new game like Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn\, Sorcery: Contested Realms\, or the Digimon Card Game? We provide a warm and welcoming community for all of these games and more! We’d love to learn any new games as well\, so if you have a game you’d like to introduce\, we’d be happy to give you a place to do so! \nJames (our resident CCG fanatic!) sets up a table of various card games that he’s happy to teach\, or lend decks out for\, as well as keeps a carefully curated selection of cards that other card game players have donated to give out for free for anyone looking to start collecting\, or simply build up their existing collection. So why not swing by\, sit at the table\, and shuffle up with the friends you brought with you\, and the friends you didn’t know you had yet? \n
