SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game: Rising Winds Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Digimon Tamers! \nTo celebrate the release of Rising Winds (RB-01)\, let’s enjoy what the set has to offer with a special draft event! But how do you draft in Digimon? \n-Players are divided into groups of 4. Then\, each player in a pod will get 6 Booster Packs. \n-Boosters are opened 1 at a time. Each player will look at the cards in their booster\, pick 1 card from that pack\, and then pass the rest of the pack to the player on their left. When there are no more cards to pick from\, players will open the next pack\, pick a card\, and then pass the rest to the player on their right. It’s a good idea to keep your cards face-down\, and keep your choices a secret from your opponents! \n-Repeat the previous step until there are no more packs to open\, or cards to pick. Now you’ll start deck building! In a limited format like Sealed or Draft\, the rules for deck building and game play are a little different. for example\, your main deck must be 40 cards\, instead of 50 (your egg deck can still have anywhere from 0 to 5 cards in it)\, and color requirements for digivolution are ignored\, which can open up a lot of exciting combos you wouldn’t normally see. \n4:00pm – In person sign ups begin for anyone that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to order some food and drinks\, as well as get to know the other participants in the event! \n4:30pm – Drafting begins! We’ll start the draft promptly at 4:30\, so it’s a good idea to get here with enough time to make sure you’re not late. Once drafting begins\, players will have 60 minutes to draft and build their decks\, so quick thinking will give you a big advantage during this portion of the event. \n5:30pm – Round 1 begins! There will be 3 rounds\, during which\, players will have 50 minutes to compete in a best-2-out-of-3 match. If you’re game goes past the 50 minute time limit\, you and your opponent will have 3 turns collectively to decide a winner\, otherwise the game is a draw. If you had any games you still needed to play to complete your match\, they are also treated as draws. \nAround 8:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All participants can expect to get at least 1 Booster Pack\, and can win additional packs depending on how they performed in the event\, as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays! \n \n

What is Sorcery? \nSorcery is a tactical TCG where two players will compete against eachother in magical combat. Each player is represented on the board as an elemental Avatar. The game is played over a gridded playfield\, and you’ll have to place your site cards carefully to make sure you give your minions a direct enough route to reach the oppossing Avatar without leaving yourself open to attack. \nInterested in seeing if this is the game for you? SUMMARY:Sorcery Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome one and all to the first Sorcery event held at The Missing Piece! This draft will give players a taste of the new Beta set! But how do you draft in Sorcery? Well… \nFirst\, players will each have 3 booster packs. Then\, each player will open 1 of those packs\, discard the basic site slot\, pick 1 card from the selection found in that pack\, and then pass that pack to the player on their left. This means those players will receive cards from the player on their right to pick from. This process will continue until there are no more cards to pick from. \nOnce players have run out of cards to pick from\, they’ll open the second pack and repeat the process from before\, except they will pass their cards to the right\, and receive cards from the player on their left. When the second round of passing has finished\, they’ll repeat the process one last time with their last pack\, passing cards to the left again like they did in the first round. \nNow that all the cards have been drafted\, players are expected to build a 25 card Spellbook and 12 card Atlas with the cards they drafted. If you don’t have enough cards to form a proper Atlas deck\, we will provide basic sites to help fill out the deck. A Sorcerer will be provided for everyone to use as their Avatar\, but any avatar drafted may be used instead of so desired. \n12:00pm – In person sign ups can begin for players that didn’t sign up through our website. \n12:30pm – Drafting begins! Once drafting starts\, we cannot add new players to the event\, so please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign up\, as well as order any food or drink you’d like to have before the games begin. Players will have 50 minutes to draft and deck build. \n1:30 pm – Round 1 begins! Best of 1 where players have 50 minutes to complete their match. 10 minutes will follow each match for breaks and overtime. \nAround 4:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! Each player can expect to receive 1 pack from Alpha\, and may receive additional prizes based on how they perform in the event as well as a few giveaways that will be randomly given throughout the event!

When the first member of a team is eliminated\, they will take the cards that were left in their deck\, in their hand\, and in their exile\, but they will leave all the cards they had on the battlefield and in their graveyard where they are. The second team member then shuffles their deck\, has it cut either by their opponent or by the judge\, and draws a hand of 5 cards (They won’t be allowed a mulligan). It will automatically become the new player’s turn\, ending all effects that were on the stack. The new player will begin play with either 20 life\, or whatever amount of life their teammate had when they lost\, whichever is higher. Finally\, as a deck-building restriction\, both players decks will be treated as 1 deck for the sake of determining how many copies of a card is allowed in their deck. This means\, for example\, that there can only be 1 copy of Sol Ring between the two decks\, and any number of Shadowborn Apostle! \n5:30pm – In person registration for the event begins! This is also a good time to make sure you and your teammate have built your decks with the deck-building restrictions in mind. \n6:00pm – Round 1 begins! There will be two 90-minute rounds. The player that was the starting player in round 1 will become the second player in round 2. \nAround 7:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All players can expect to get a promotional Magic card and Missing Pawn card for our Piecing It Together event on Sundays. Depending on how their team performs in the event\, players can expect additional prizes as well! \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! This is the last Friday Night Magic of the year! To finish this year with a bang and to enjoy Draft Boosters one last time\, we’re hosting a chaos draft. We’ll be supplying 1 booster that is the same for all players\, but players can select any of our available draft boosters to be their second and third boosters! \n5:30pm – In person sign ups begin for players that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to get any food\, drinks\, or supplies you might need for the draft like sleeves! \n6:00pm – Drafting begins! Players will have 50 minutes to draft and deck build. We will begin promptly at 6\, so please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign up or make any purchases you might need before hand. \n6:50pm – Round 1 begins! There will be three 50-minute rounds where players will play a best 2-out-of-3 match. \nAround 9:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All players will get a promotional Magic card and a Missing Pawn card for our Piecing It Together event on Sundays.
