DESCRIPTION:The Missing Piece is going digital! \nJoin us in our first ever event for the Digimon Card Game! Whether you’ve been playing the game since its release\, or you’ve only just started\, we’d love to have you join our community of players where we focus on having fun and making new friends. While the primary event will be a three-round tournament\, please feel free to chat and trade cards with your fellow players during any downtime\, as well as enjoy the food and drink served by our amazing barista team! \nThe tournament\, as mentioned before\, will go for three rounds\, and will use swiss-style pairings. This means you won’t be eliminated from the event if you lose a match. All participants are guaranteed a Booster Pack just by joining the event\, with the chance to win additional packs depending on how they do in their matches! \n4:00pm – Sign ups begin for anyone who hasn’t already signed up through our website. \n4:30pm – Round one begins! Each round will be 50 minutes long and consist of a best-of-three games match. If you are in the middle of one of these games when the timer runs out\, you will have 3 turns between both players to determine a winner. If no winner is determined\, then that game is a draw. \nAround 7:30pm – Prizes will be awarded as mentioned above! DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! Let’s commemorate the upcoming Commander Masters set with a twist on the Commander Format! In our interpretation of a Tag-Team game of Commander\, the following rules apply: \n1\, Two teams will compete against each other\, but only 1 player from each team will play at a time. \n2\, The first players from each team begins with 20 life and may perform 1 free mulligan after determining the starting player. \n3\, When the first player of a team is eliminated\, They will step away from the game with whatever cards were in their hand\, in exile\, and remaining in their deck. they will leave any permanents they owned as they were at the time of their elimination\, as well as their graveyard. The second player for that team will then sit down\, shuffle their deck\, offer the opponent a chance to cut the deck\, set their life to 20 (This will not be seen as gaining life)\, and draw 7 cards with no mulligan. It then immediately becomes the new player’s turn\, beginning at their Untap Step. This will be treated similarly to an “End the turn” effect. \n4\, If a player was the first player for their team in the previous round\, then they will be the second player in the next round. \n5\, Players may not exchange decks with each other between rounds. However\, 1 player in the team may change which deck they are playing with each round. If one player changes their deck\, the other player must use the deck they played in the previous round. \n5:30 – Registration begins for players that didn’t register on our website. DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! Come gather at The Missing Piece and enjoy a very special event: a Commander Draft with the new Commander Masters set! How is a commander draft different from a normal draft? Well… \nPlayers will start the event with three 20-card packs. They will open the first pack\, pick 2 cards from what was opened\, and then pass the rest of that pack to the player on theirleft. Once there are no more cards to pick from\, players will open their second pack\, pick 2 cards\, and pass the rest to the player on their right. The third round of drafting is the same as the first\, with players passing cards to their left again. \nOnce drafting is completed\, players willuse the cards they drafted to build a deck that has a minimum of 60 cards in it. At least 1 of those cards will act as your Commander\, and the rest of your deck must match its color identity with your Commander. All single-color and colorless cards that can be treated as your Commander are treated as having the Partner mechanic\, and you are allowed to have any number of copies of the same card in your deck. \n5:30pm – Sign ups for players that didn’t sign up through our website begins. This is also a great chance to get some food or drinks before the event\, and meet the other players that are participating! \n6:00pm – Drafting begins. Players will have 60 minutes to draft and deck build. Also\, drafting will begin promptly at 6pm\, so please make sure you arrive with plenty of time to sign up before then. \n7:00pm – Round 1 begins! There will be two 90-minute rounds. Each round\, players will gain points based on their performance in their games to determine prizes. \nAround 10pm – The event ends\, and prizes are given out! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will get Booster Packs\, 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get Promo Packs\, and all participants will get a promotional MAgic card\, as well as a Missing Pawn card they can use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays!

SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game: Rising Winds Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Digimon Tamers! \nTo celebrate the release of Rising Winds (RB-01)\, let’s enjoy what the set has to offer with a special draft event! But how do you draft in Digimon? \n-Players are divided into groups of 4. Then\, each player in a pod will get 6 Booster Packs. \n-Boosters are opened 1 at a time. Each player will look at the cards in their booster\, pick 1 card from that pack\, and then pass the rest of the pack to the player on their left. When there are no more cards to pick from\, players will open the next pack\, pick a card\, and then pass the rest to the player on their right. It’s a good idea to keep your cards face-down\, and keep your choices a secret from your opponents! \n-Repeat the previous step until there are no more packs to open\, or cards to pick. Now you’ll start deck building! In a limited format like Sealed or Draft\, the rules for deck building and game play are a little different. for example\, your main deck must be 40 cards\, instead of 50 (your egg deck can still have anywhere from 0 to 5 cards in it)\, and color requirements for digivolution are ignored\, which can open up a lot of exciting combos you wouldn’t normally see. \n4:00pm – In person sign ups begin for anyone that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to order some food and drinks\, as well as get to know the other participants in the event! \n4:30pm – Drafting begins! We’ll start the draft promptly at 4:30\, so it’s a good idea to get here with enough time to make sure you’re not late. Once drafting begins\, players will have 60 minutes to draft and build their decks\, so quick thinking will give you a big advantage during this portion of the event. \n5:30pm – Round 1 begins! There will be 3 rounds\, during which\, players will have 50 minutes to compete in a best-2-out-of-3 match. If you’re game goes past the 50 minute time limit\, you and your opponent will have 3 turns collectively to decide a winner\, otherwise the game is a draw. If you had any games you still needed to play to complete your match\, they are also treated as draws. \nAround 8:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All participants can expect to get at least 1 Booster Pack\, and can win additional packs depending on how they performed in the event\, as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays! \n \n

SUMMARY:Learn to Play Sorcery: Contested Realm
DESCRIPTION:Welcome would-be sourcerers! Come to The Missing Piece and learn how to play the excting game of Sorcery: Contested Realm. What is Sorcery? \nSorcery is a tactical TCG where two players will compete against eachother in magical combat. Each player is represented on the board as an elemental Avatar. As your Avatar\, you will lay down Site cards to build the battlefield\, and use your Spellbook cards to cast powerful spells or summon minions to either defend your Avatar from attack\, or attack and defeat your opponent’s Avatar. The game is played over a gridded playfield\, and you’ll have to place your site cards carefully to make sure you give your minions a direct enough route to reach the oppossing Avatar without leaving yourself open to attack. \nInterested in seeing if this is the game for you? Our Master Sorcer\, Chris\, will be here to demonstrate and talk about the game from 6pm to 10pm. Feel free to ask questions and try the game out!

SUMMARY:Sorcery Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome one and all to the first Sorcery event held at The Missing Piece! This draft will give players a taste of the new Beta set! But how do you draft in Sorcery? Well… \nFirst\, players will each have 3 booster packs. Then\, each player will open 1 of those packs\, discard the basic site slot\, pick 1 card from the selection found in that pack\, and then pass that pack to the player on their left. This means those players will receive cards from the player on their right to pick from. This process will continue until there are no more cards to pick from. \nOnce players have run out of cards to pick from\, they’ll open the second pack and repeat the process from before\, except they will pass their cards to the right\, and receive cards from the player on their left. When the second round of passing has finished\, they’ll repeat the process one last time with their last pack\, passing cards to the left again like they did in the first round. \nNow that all the cards have been drafted\, players are expected to build a 25 card Spellbook and 12 card Atlas with the cards they drafted. If you don’t have enough cards to form a proper Atlas deck\, we will provide basic sites to help fill out the deck. A Sorcerer will be provided for everyone to use as their Avatar\, but any avatar drafted may be used instead of so desired. \n12:00pm – In person sign ups can begin for players that didn’t sign up through our website. \n12:30pm – Drafting begins! Once drafting starts\, we cannot add new players to the event\, so please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign up\, as well as order any food or drink you’d like to have before the games begin. Players will have 50 minutes to draft and deck build. \n1:30 pm – Round 1 begins! Best of 1 where players have 50 minutes to complete their match. 10 minutes will follow each match for breaks and overtime. \nAround 4:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! Each player can expect to receive 1 pack from Alpha\, and may receive additional prizes based on how they perform in the event as well as a few giveaways that will be randomly given throughout the event!

There will be three 50 minute rounds\, during which\, players will play a best 2-out-of-3 match. \nAround 9:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will receive Booster Packs\, 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th place will get Promo Packs\, and all participants can expect to get a promotional Magic card as well as a Missing Pawn card for our Piecing It Together events on Sundays!

DESCRIPTION:Attention Tamers! We’re hosting a special tournament for all players to enjoy\, and should be an especially great time to bring interested new players! For Bandai’s Winter Holiday Event\, all players are expected to use one of the Starter Decks that have been produced during the game’s history. From ST-01 to ST-16\, any deck\, unaltered\, is exceptable! While you can’t change which cards are in the deck\, please feel free to use any alternate art versions of the cards in that deck you may have. \n4:00pm – In-Person registration begins for any players that didn’t sign up through our website. This is also a great time to get some food and drinks from our cafe! \n4:30pm – Round 1 begins!
