SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game: Tag Tamer Tournament
DESCRIPTION:It’s time to team up\, Tamers! Join fellow fans of the Digimon Card Game at The Missing Piece as we build a community interested in trying alternative formats for this great game\, starting with this tag-team format! Here’s how it works: \n\nTwo teams consisting of two players each will play against each other in a best-of-1-game match. Teams will alternate which member is taking a turn when the memory gauge passes over to them. This should create a turn order like so: Player 1 (Team A) -> Player 2 (Team B) -> Player 3 (Team A) -> Player 4 (Team B) -> Play 1 (Team A) again.\nEach player will have a 50 card deck\, and a Digi-Egg Deck containing anywhere from 0 to 5 Digi-Egg cards. Both decks within a team must build their decks as if it was one deck. This means there cannot be more than 1 copy of a restricted card between the two decks\, no more than 4 copies of an unrestricted card\, and no more than 50 copies of cards that allow that many copies within a deck.\nAfter players have finished any mulligans for their opening hands\, teams will create their shared Security Stack. The Security Stack will start with 3 cards from each player for a total of 6 cards. These cards must be initially arranged so the first card is owned by one teammate\, the next card is owned by the other teammate\, etc.\nUnlike in a normal game\, the first turn player is allowed to draw a card. Play then continues normally from there\, following the turn order demonstrated above. During their turns\, players may only use activate the effects of their own cards\, and are not considered to be controlling their teammate’s cards.\nWhen a card of effect looks for a condition to be met by “your opponent” (for example: “If your opponent has 8 cards in their hand…”)\, you may choose which member of the opposing team meets the criteria. Similarly\, when attacking your opponents’ Security\, it is important to indicate which of the two players you are attacking. However\, either teammate may activate the Blocker ability of their Digimon to block an attack\, regardless of who was targeted.\n\n5:30pm – In person sign ups begin for players that didn’t sign up for the event through our website. This is also a great time to get food or drinks from our Barista! \n6:00pm – Round 1 begins! While not required\, it is encouraged as space is limited. After purchasing a ticket\, register with the Sorcery Play Network where pairing will occur at the time of event. \nPlay Network: https://play.sorcerytcg.com/events/b9a5078d-6022-476c-9941-bc434490580f \nWe got some exciting new limited rules in effect and will be utilizing the new draft kits: \n\nSpellslinger Avatar: new default avatar replacing the Sorcerer\, increasing your starting spell hand by +1. All avatars pulled from packs are legal to use\nNew basic sites: these sites will fill your atlas. They only provide mana and threshold\, increasing the power of pulled sites from your packs!\nSpellbook minimum reduced by 1. Minimum spellbook size now 24 spells (atlas remains at 12)\n\n11:00am – Start checking in via the play network website \n12:00pm – Begin arriving and checking in if you haven’t already. If the event is full and there are no shows\, we’ll begin filling in the spots. This is also a great time to get to know the other participants! \n12:15pm sharp – Deckbuilding begins. Players will have 45 minutes to build a 24 card Spellbook and 12 card Atlas from 6 booster packs. \n01:00pm – Round 1 begins! There will be four 50 minute rounds\, during which players will compete in best-of-1 games with 10 minute breaks between rounds.\n \nPrizes: 1 pack per win\, guaranteed pack even if no wins! Winner gets a box of Arthurian Legends. SUMMARY:Altered: Sealed Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Join our tournament of Altered: Beyond the Gates. You should already know the rules to the game when you sign up for this event. If you want to learn to play\, consider coming to one of our Altered events on Friday evenings for free. \nIn a Sealed format\, each player will get 7 packs of cards. They will then have 30 minutes to build their decks. The tournament will last for 4 rounds limited to 30 minutes per round. \nLimited decks in Altered must adopt the following guidelines: \n\nA deck must contain a minimum of 30 cards.\nToken cards do not count towards the deck minimum. If you have token cards to go with your deck\, they start outside of your deck.\nYou may play cards from up to three different factions.\nA deck can include a Hero card. If so\, it counts toward the 30 cards minimum. Your Hero must be from one of the factions in your deck. You may choose to not play a Hero card.\nThere are no restrictions on the number of cards with the same name that you can play in your deck.\nThere are no restrictions on the number or rare or unique cards you can play in your deck.\n\nPrizes will be awarded to all participants. Everyone will receive a 3-card Promo pack. Winners (first\, second and third place) will also receive standard Altered: Beyond the Gates booster packs as well. \nIf you have Mana Convergence cards in your collection\, please bring them along. You may need them to complete your deck.

SUMMARY:Magic: The Gathering - Foundations Prerelease (Friday)
DESCRIPTION:Lets get back to basics Planeswalkers! \nAre you a new player to Magic? Perhaps you’re coming back to the game after a long break\, or introducing the game to a friend? Then Magic Foundations will be a great set to jump into! Use this Prerelease event to enjoy the Sealed format and see the bare bones fundamentals that make up one of the greatest games in history! \n5:00pm – In person registration begins! This is also a great time to get some food\, drinks\, and extra supplies you might need for the event\, like card sleeves! \n5:30pm – Deckbuilding begins! Players will have 50 minutes to build a 40 card deck from the cards provided in their Prerelease kit. \n6:20pm – Round 1 begins! There will be three 50 minute rounds where players compete 1-on-1 in a best-2-out-of-3 match. \nAround 9:30pm – Prizes are awarded! All players will get promotional prizes for participating\, and additional prizes based on their performance in the event.
