SUMMARY:D&D For Middle Schoolers
DESCRIPTION:Join Dungeon Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG campaign! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This campaign is for low tier characters which will be provided by the DM. If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to use. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home.

SUMMARY:"ink" Roleplaying Game - Tears of Terra
DESCRIPTION:You’re dead. Your soul is split into two parts: spirit and shadow. But things could be worse. You’re in some sort of limbo afterlife\, with a vast sea of inky blackness surrounding you. You want to make your way to the Beyond\, but first you’ll have to come to terms with your burden. If you want to move on\, you’re going to have to have some experiences and defeat some fiends on the island keys scattered throughout the ink.  And if you want to do that efficiently\, you’ll probably want to stock up on powerful\, energy-boosting elixirs lovingly prepared by the Booristas. \n“ink” is a spoopy roleplaying game about death and coffee.  Brought to you by Snowbright Studio\, a friendly LGBTQ+ game studio striving to bring you heartwarming and cozy games to share with your friends and families. \nThis event package comes with some great stuff.  By signing up\, you’ll get… \n\nAbout 3.5 hours of gameplay. Led by your Game Master\, Alex – who actually wrote this particular adventure himself.\nThe book! You get to take home your own copy of the ink first edition book\, to start running your adventures or playing through them with other Game Masters.\nA coffee social. You’ll get some fun. off-menu coffee specials during the event as well as some delicious baked goods\, all with spooky themed table decorations.\nAll the character sheets\, dice and materials you’ll need to play the session. Just bring your spirit (heh\, get it it? spirit?) of adventure!\n\nOptional pre-work: Think about what character you’ve played in other games that may have died (or will die someday). It could be a D&D character or really any character from any setting. How did they die\, what burden might be holding them back from the Beyond\, and what do they remember from their life?

SUMMARY:Dungeons & Dragons (for Middle Schoolers)
DESCRIPTION:Every Monday from 3:30p until 7p an experienced Dungeon Master will be running a D&D adventure for players with “little to no experience” in mind. Five (5) players maximum. \nSignups on a first come\, first served basis. \nWhat To Expect: The first thing your middle-schooler will do is create a character at the table right before they start their adventure\, so no pre-generated characters allowed.  All player characters are Human\, all Classes from the Players Handbook\, and no evil characters or character concepts. \nThe DM will guide all players through the procedures of rolling dice and role-playing a character. Every plot will have “PG” themes including heroism\, teamwork\, overcoming adversity\, creative problem-solving\, grace under pressure\, and honor. \nTo Be Ready for the Game: Players are encouraged\, to bring their own dice\, paper (eg. a journal)\, and/or pencils. Players are also encouraged to own a copy of the Player’s Handbook D&D 5th edition. Dice and Player’s Handbooks are available for purchase at The Missing Piece. \nCode of Conduct: The DM will require all players to show respect to everyone in the room\, and will encourage being patient\, listening to others\, and willing collaboration. The DM will not allow abusive language\, derogatory terms\, or “I was just joking” aimed at anyone in the room\, (although monsters and villains are fair game.) The DM will base all adventures in the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition world. The use of violence\, dishonesty\, conniving\, and magic allowed only in role play (& roll play). The DM may or may not give second chances. \nPlayers are required to have all cell phones\, tablets\, & laptops turned off during gameplay. \nThe phone number of a parent (or responsible adult) is required by the DM prior to the game starting. A parent is required to indicate if a minor child is or is not allowed to walk home unescorted from the shop. \n
