SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic: Phyrexian Horde Commander
DESCRIPTION:Become a hero of Dominaria and face off against the Phyrexian hordes! Welcome to Horde Magic\, a special format where up to 4 players team up against a specially constructed semi-automated deck. The team will share a life total that varies depending on the number of players. Like in Two-Headed Giant\, the members of a team will share their turn and go through each step of a turn together. They will also have a certain number of extra turns before the Horde deck takes a turn depending on the number of members in the team. Below is the starting life total and how many turns a team will have\, depending on team size: \nTeam of 1: 30 life\, and 5 extra turns. Team of 2: 40 life\, and 4 extra turns. Team of 3: 50 life and 3 extra turns. Team of 4: 60 life and 1 extra turn. \nDuring the Horde deck’s turn\, they will operate under special rules. 1\, the deck is treated as having an infinite amount of mana of each color for the purposes of casting spells. 2\, During the Horde deck’s turn\, instead of drawing a card at the Draw Step\, it flips over a card. If the card is a Token (which make up a large percentage of the deck)\, that token is put into play\, and the Horde will flip over another card. This continues until the card flipped over is a spell card. Once a spell is revealed\, it is cast automatically\, regardless of timing. 3\, If the Horde deck would have cards in hand (for example\, from casting a spell that causes it to draw cards)\, it must try to cast all spell cards put into its hand. Tokens drawn this way will be exiled\, as tokens cannot exist in the hand. 4\, All creatures controlled by the Horde have haste\, and must attack each turn if able. attacks are made against the whole team\, and therefore any member of the team can have any of their creatures block attackers. 5\, The Horde has no life total. Instead\, whenever it is dealt damage\, it mills cards equal to the damage taken. 6\, The Horde deck loses when it runs out of cards in the deck. \nNormally\, the team would elect one of their teammates to go through the motions of the Horde deck’s turn\, but to help the event run smoothly\, the host of the event will be operating the deck instead. \n5:30 – Registration begins for players that didn’t register on our website. This is also a great time to grab some food and drinks while you’re waiting for the event to begin. \n6:00pm – Rounds begin! Each team will have 50 minutes to try and defeat the Horde deck. During those 50 minutes\, teammates can score points to determine the prizes their team earns at the end of the event. \nAround 9:30pm – Prizes are awarded! Members of the 1st place team will receive booster packs. Members of the 2nd place team will receive promo packs. All participants will receive a promotional Magic card*\, and a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays. \n* While supplies last.

There are enough packs for each player to get two packs. Players take turns doing 1 of 3 actions: Take a pack from the middle\, steal a pack from another player\, or open a pack. Players cannot steal packs until all of the packs in the middle have been taken\, and once a pack has been opened\, it can only be stolen once\, and then never again. DESCRIPTION:What’s more fun than a White Elephant party? A White Elephant that ends with some great games of Magic: The Gathering of course! So what is a White Elephant Draft? Well\, you see… \nEach player will pick two JumpStart Booster Packs from our available selection\, and those packs will be placed in the middle of the draft table. There will enough packs for each player to get four packs. Players take turns doing 1 of 3 actions: Take a pack from the middle\, steal a pack from another player\, or open a pack. Players cannot steal packs until all of the packs in the middle have been taken\, and once a pack has been opened\, it can only be stolen once\, and then never again. Once a player has 4 open packs that can’t be stolen\, they are no longer able to steal a pack\, and once all players have 4 open packs in front of them\, the draft is over! Players then take 2 of their 4 packs and shuffle them together\, creating their first deck\, and repeat the process with their other 2 packs to make their second deck. Any time between games\, a player may switch which deck they wish to play with. \n5:30pm – Registration begins for players who didn’t sign up via our website. This is also a great time so meet the other players and order food and drinks. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck building begins! We’ll be starting this process exactly at 6\, so please arrive promptly if you can. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin. DESCRIPTION:To celebrate partnerships of all kinds\, comradery\, and the Phyrexian unification of the multiverse\, The Missing Piece begins a series of Two-Headed Giant events! To start things off\, we’re holding a partnered draft format. When drafting in Two-Headed Giant\, you and your teammate will be sat next to eachother in your drafting pod and both look over each pack. The team gets to pick two cards from the pack before passing it to the next team. This continues until all packs have been opened and drafted from. Then your team looks over the cards you’ve drafted and build two decks. \n5:30pm – Registration begins for players who didn’t sign up via our website. This is also a great time so meet the other players and order food and drinks. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck building begins! We’ll be starting this process exactly at 6\, so please arrive promptly if you can. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin. There will be three 50 minute rounds. Your team starts with 30 life\, and you take your turns together. You may show your teammate your hand and strategize together. Effects of cards that target a single player will behave normally\, but if a card mentions that it effects all opponents\, then both team members of the opposing team are affected. For example\, a spell that deals 3 damage to each opponent will inflict a total of 6 damage to the team\, 3 damage to each opponent. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will get booster packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get promo packs. SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic Double Dutch JumpStart
DESCRIPTION:We conclude our glorious tribute to our Phyrexian Overlords with one last team-up variation of a fan favorite format! In Two-Headed Giant Jumpstart\, both teammates will open 4 Jumpstart packs (for a total of 8 packs) and decide which packs to pair together to form a total of four 40 card decks. From there\, it will play similarly to other team formats where a team starts the game with a shared 30 point life total. \n5:30pm: Registration begins for players that didn’t sign up via our website. This is also a great time to pick up any food or drinks and get to know the other players in the event. \n6:00pm: Deckbuilding begins! The event begins promptly at 6pm\, so be sure to get to the event with time to register and order food and drinks.  \n6:50pm: Rounds begin. There will be three 50 minute rounds. \nAround 9:45pm: Prizes are awarded. 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will receive booster packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get promo packs. All participants will get a promotional Magic card.
