SUMMARY:Sorcery Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome one and all to the first Sorcery event held at The Missing Piece! This draft will give players a taste of the new Beta set! But how do you draft in Sorcery? Well… \nFirst\, players will each have 3 booster packs. Then\, each player will open 1 of those packs\, discard the basic site slot\, pick 1 card from the selection found in that pack\, and then pass that pack to the player on their left. This means those players will receive cards from the player on their right to pick from. This process will continue until there are no more cards to pick from. \nOnce players have run out of cards to pick from\, they’ll open the second pack and repeat the process from before\, except they will pass their cards to the right\, and receive cards from the player on their left. When the second round of passing has finished\, they’ll repeat the process one last time with their last pack\, passing cards to the left again like they did in the first round. \nNow that all the cards have been drafted\, players are expected to build a 25 card Spellbook and 12 card Atlas with the cards they drafted. If you don’t have enough cards to form a proper Atlas deck\, we will provide basic sites to help fill out the deck. A Sorcerer will be provided for everyone to use as their Avatar\, but any avatar drafted may be used instead of so desired. \n12:00pm – In person sign ups can begin for players that didn’t sign up through our website. \n12:30pm – Drafting begins! Once drafting starts\, we cannot add new players to the event\, so please be sure to arrive with enough time to sign up\, as well as order any food or drink you’d like to have before the games begin. Players will have 50 minutes to draft and deck build. \n1:30 pm – Round 1 begins! Best of 1 where players have 50 minutes to complete their match. 10 minutes will follow each match for breaks and overtime. \nAround 4:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! Each player can expect to receive 1 pack from Alpha\, and may receive additional prizes based on how they perform in the event as well as a few giveaways that will be randomly given throughout the event!

DESCRIPTION:The Jigsaw Puzzle Race is back on!  Tables of 4 will compete to build the same 500 piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest. It’s $5 per person to enter\, and everyone at the winner’s table gets a 2-hour voucher for booking time in our exclusive VIP rooms. (That’s $40 in value for each person at the winning table!).  Also\, someone from your table can take home the puzzle. The image set for this event posting was from one of our previous puzzle races. The puzzle this time will be a surprise for everyone. \nGrab some friends and sign up for your tickets right here on this page to reserve your spot.  You can sign up individually as well and see what new friends you can make on puzzle day. SUMMARY:Blood on the Clocktower
DESCRIPTION:Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery\, lies and logic\, deduction and deception for five-to-twenty courageous players and one devious storyteller. \nA social game played in person\, seated in a circle\, each player receives either a ‘good’ or ‘evil’ token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge\, trust each other\, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust\, evade detection\, and wipe out the village. \nThis event is hosted by Brittany every second Saturday of the month. Sign ups are available only on the official Blood on the Clocktower Seattle Meetup page here.  This event does fill up\, so be sure to sign up in advance on Meetup!

SUMMARY:D&D for Middle Schoolers: Thunderlock Barcrawl Intro Mission
DESCRIPTION:Join Dungeon Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG introductory session! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This introductory session is for low tier characters which will be provided by the DM. If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to use. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home. \nThis session is a sample of our upcoming weekly campaign offering\, so try this out to see if the full campaign is a good fit for you!

DESCRIPTION:Join Dungeon Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG introductory session! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This introductory session is for low tier characters which will be provided by the DM. If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to use. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home. \nThis session is a sample of our upcoming weekly campaign offering\, so try this out to see if the full campaign is a good fit for you!

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! We’re inching closer and closer to the end of the year\, and as we reminisce over the past year\, we’d like to invite you to try once again a twist to the Commander format: Tag-Team Commander! \nIn this format\, we will have two-player teams battle each other\, except that only one player from each team will play at a time. When the first member of a team is eliminated\, they will take the cards that were left in their deck\, in their hand\, and in their exile\, but they will leave all the cards they had on the battlefield and in their graveyard where they are. The second team member then shuffles their deck\, has it cut either by their opponent or by the judge\, and draws a hand of 5 cards (They won’t be allowed a mulligan). It will automatically become the new player’s turn\, ending all effects that were on the stack. The new player will begin play with either 20 life\, or whatever amount of life their teammate had when they lost\, whichever is higher. Finally\, as a deck-building restriction\, both players decks will be treated as 1 deck for the sake of determining how many copies of a card is allowed in their deck. This means\, for example\, that there can only be 1 copy of Sol Ring between the two decks\, and any number of Shadowborn Apostle! \n5:30pm – In person registration for the event begins! This is also a good time to make sure you and your teammate have built your decks with the deck-building restrictions in mind. \n6:00pm – Round 1 begins! There will be two 90-minute rounds. The player that was the starting player in round 1 will become the second player in round 2. \nAround 7:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All players can expect to get a promotional Magic card and Missing Pawn card for our Piecing It Together event on Sundays. Depending on how their team performs in the event\, players can expect additional prizes as well! \n \n

If you don’t have a Trainer ID\, you can get one by joining the Pokémon Trainer Club through this link! \n4:00pm – Meet your fellow trainers! This is a great time to find our Pokémon Professor and have them register you for the event. You can also use this time to get some food and drinks from our lovely Barista behind the counter! \n4:30pm – Let the battles begin! Pairings will be announced for the first round. The number of rounds will be determined by how many players are participating. Each round\, players will have 30 minutes to play a best-of-1 game against each other. When the game is over\, make sure to report your match to the Professor so they can record the results! \nAround 9:00pm – Prizes will be awarded! All players can expect to get a promotional item for participating\, as well as additional prizes depending on how they performed in the event. Depending on how many rounds there are in the event\, this may happen sooner.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! To continue our New Years highlight of lesser-played formats\, The Missing Piece would like to bring your attention to the Mini-Magic format. Each player is expected to have a 20 card deck. In this format\, attempting to draw a card when you have no cards left in your library does not result in a game-loss\, and cards that would cause a player to win the game due to having no cards left in their library are banned. \n5:30pm – In person sign ups begin for players that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to buy food\, drinks\, and any supplies you might want for the event\, as well as make sure your deck follows the stipulations of the format. \n6:00pm – Round 1 begins. There will be three 50-minute rounds\, during which\, players will compete in a best-2-out-of-3 match. \nAround 9:00pm – Prizes will be awarded. All participants will get a promotional card\, as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays. Players will also get additional prizes depending on their performance during the event.
