SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic: Community Cube
DESCRIPTION:Play and collaborate with our MTG community by joining us for an exciting draft event using the one and only Missing Piece Community Cube! Instead of assembling a set of cards that are rarely (if ever) edited\, this cube is constantly changing to meet the needs of the community. Players will bring 11 cards with them into the draft\, either from their own collection\, or they can buy a set booster pack from our barista\, and simply remove the basic land card from the cards provided. Those cards are then sleeved and permanently added to the cube. Once the cards are sleeved\, players will draft from the cube as normal\, and at the end of the event\, since each player put 11 cards into the cube\, they will get to take 11 cards of their choice out of the cube! \n5:30pm – Registration begins. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck construction begins! Players will have 50 minutes to draft\, and build their decks. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin! There will be three 50-minute rounds. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! Due to the nature of this event\, prizes are handled a little differently. All players will be able to select up to 11 cards from the cards they drafted during the event\, but the 1st place player will be able to select from any card in the cube that hasn’t already been picked. All participants will also receive a free drink card\, a Pawn card for use in our Piecing It Together events\, and a promo card* \n*While supplies lasts

Ten is a simple card game that you can pick up easily after just a few rounds of jumping in.  It combines elements of pushing-your-luck\, collecting runs to score points and managing your currency tokens between purchasing cards from the market and winning bidding wars for wild cards. Although the game only came out late last year\, we’ve already played countless times here at The Missing Piece and we still can’t get enough. \nThis event is a Learn-to-Play event where we will teach you the game – free of charge.  It only takes about a half hour to get through a game\, so swing on by and join us to learn this hot new title in the card game world.  Throughout the month\, you can get 10% off of Ten at The Missing Piece\, but when you finish learning the game from us\, we’ll sweeten the deal to 15% off if you want to pick it up right away. \nCheck our calendar for the other Saturdays this month to join us for casual play as well as our grand finale Ten Tournament at the end of the month.  It’s free to enter\, and we have a nifty little prize for the winner.

Trainers will each get a box containing 4 booster packs\, and a 40 card ready-to-play deck to get in additional games! With the booster packs\, they will open them one at a time\, and go through a drafting process to build a 40 card deck (it is recommended to build with roughly half the deck being Pokemon\, and half being Energies depending on the number of Trainer cards you draft). After decks are built\, Trainers will be paired off and the games will begin! \nPlease note! Players in the event need to have a Pokemon Trainer Club account\, and should be able to provide a Player ID number. DESCRIPTION:This is it! Our first ever Game of the Month tournament!  Grab a free ticket to hold your spot for the tournament below on this calendar page.  Spots may be available at the start of the tournament as well as long as we have enough copies of the game to support the players (please bring yours in). \nThe tournament will be friendly and set up swiss style so everyone can enjoy multiple games together. \n12:45pm – Final setup and registration\n1:00pm – First round of tournament begins\n6:00 – Guaranteed end of event (number of rounds depends on number of participants) \nPrizes will be awarded to the top 5 finishers (getting a free drink voucher)\, and the first place winner will also get a nifty surprise that will enhance their Ten playing experience. \nTen is a simple card game that you can pick up easily after just a few rounds of jumping in.  It combines elements of pushing-your-luck\, collecting runs to score points and managing your currency tokens between purchasing cards from the market and winning bidding wars for wild cards. Although the game only came out late last year\, we’ve already played countless times here at The Missing Piece and we still can’t get enough. \n

SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic: Kamigawa Commander
DESCRIPTION:Past and future collide\, clash\, and compete in this setting-themed Commander event! Players will come in with decks built around commanders that are from the plane of Kamigawa. Commanders can be from the original Kamigawa  Champions of Kamigawa\, Betrayers of Kamigawa\, Saviors of Kamigawa\, Kamigawa Neon Dynasty\, any legendary creatures released in commander products that are known to be from Kamigawa such as O-Kagachi\, Vengeful Kami or Kaseto\, Orochi Archmage\, or a legendary creature from another plane that has ties to Kamigawa\, such as Tetsuo Umezawa\, and Tetsuko Umezawa\, Fugitive. \n5:30pm – Registration begins \n6:00pm – Rounds begin. There will be two 90 minute rounds where players can accumulate points. Prizes are awarded at the end of the event based on how many points a player has accrued. \naround 9:00pm – Prizes are awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will receive booster packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th place will receive promo packs*. DESCRIPTION:For March\, we’ve selected So Clover! published by Repos Production as our official Game of the Month! So Clover is a cooperative and creative word game that’s a snap to learn and will have you stretching the limits of your vocabulary\, historical and pop culture references in search of the perfect clues for your teammates.  The premise is simple: you get a clover-shaped dry-erase board that you randomly slot word cards onto.  Each leaf of your four-leaf clover will then have 2 seemingly unrelated words attached to it.  Your task is to come up with single-word clues that bridge the gap between these unrelated terms.  If you’re a fan of Codenames\, you’ll know exactly how the challenge works.  Your clover cards will be removed and shuffled before presenting them to your teammates to reassemble correctly.  Trust us\, it’s a blast!  And we’re happy to walk you through the ins-and-outs of it at this month’s events! \nThis event is a Learn-to-Play event where we will teach you the game – free of charge.  It only takes about a half hour to get through a game\, so swing on by and join us to learn this totally St. Patty’s Day appropriate title in the gaming world.  Throughout the month\, you can get 10% off of So Clover at The Missing Piece\, but when you finish learning the game from us\, we’ll sweeten the deal to 15% off if you want to pick it up right away. \nCheck our calendar for the other Saturdays this month to join us for casual play as well as our grand finale So Clover Tournament at the end of the month.  It’s free to enter\, and we will have a nifty little prize for the winner. \n

SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic: Community Cube
DESCRIPTION:Play and collaborate with our MTG community by joining us for an exciting draft event using the one and only Missing Piece Community Cube! Instead of assembling a set of cards that are rarely (if ever) edited\, this cube is constantly changing to meet the needs of the community. Players will bring 11 cards with them into the draft\, either from their own collection\, or they can buy a set booster pack from our barista\, and simply remove the basic land card from the cards provided. Those cards are then sleeved and permanently added to the cube. Once the cards are sleeved\, players will draft from the cube as normal\, and at the end of the event\, since each player put 11 cards into the cube\, they will get to take 11 cards of their choice out of the cube! \n5:30pm – Registration begins. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck construction begins! Players will have 50 minutes to draft\, and build their decks. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin! There will be three 50-minute rounds. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! Due to the nature of this event\, prizes are handled a little differently. All players will be able to select up to 11 cards from the cards they drafted during the event\, but the 1st place player will be able to select from any card in the cube that hasn’t already been picked. All participants will also receive a free drink card\, a Pawn card for use in our Piecing It Together events\, and a promo card* \n*While supplies lasts

So Clover is a cooperative and creative word game that’s a snap to learn and will have you stretching the limits of your vocabulary\, historical and pop culture references in search of the perfect clues for your teammates.  The premise is simple: you get a clover-shaped dry-erase board that you randomly slot word cards onto.  Each leaf of your four-leaf clover will then have 2 seemingly unrelated words attached to it.  Your task is to come up with single-word clues that bridge the gap between these unrelated terms.  If you’re a fan of Codenames\, you’ll know exactly how the challenge works.  Your clover cards will be removed and shuffled before presenting them to your teammates to reassemble correctly.  Trust us\, it’s a blast!  And we’re happy to walk you through the ins-and-outs of it at this month’s events! \nThis event is a Casual Play event where you can get some practice runs in before our Tournament at the end of the month!  If you missed our Learn-to-play event at the beginning of the month\, we will teach you the game – free of charge.  It only takes about a half hour to get through a game\, so swing on by and join us in playing this awesomely appropriate game for St. Patty’s Day.  Throughout the month\, you can get 10% off of So Clover at The Missing Piece. \nCheck our calendar for the grand finale So Clover Tournament at the end of the month.  It’s free to enter\, and we have a nifty little prize for the winner. \n
