SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game: Rising Winds Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Digimon Tamers! \nTo celebrate the release of Rising Winds (RB-01)\, let’s enjoy what the set has to offer with a special draft event! But how do you draft in Digimon? \n-Players are divided into groups of 4. Then\, each player in a pod will get 6 Booster Packs. \n-Boosters are opened 1 at a time. Each player will look at the cards in their booster\, pick 1 card from that pack\, and then pass the rest of the pack to the player on their left. When there are no more cards to pick from\, players will open the next pack\, pick a card\, and then pass the rest to the player on their right. It’s a good idea to keep your cards face-down\, and keep your choices a secret from your opponents! \n-Repeat the previous step until there are no more packs to open\, or cards to pick. Now you’ll start deck building! In a limited format like Sealed or Draft\, the rules for deck building and game play are a little different. for example\, your main deck must be 40 cards\, instead of 50 (your egg deck can still have anywhere from 0 to 5 cards in it)\, and color requirements for digivolution are ignored\, which can open up a lot of exciting combos you wouldn’t normally see. \n4:00pm – In person sign ups begin for anyone that didn’t register through our website. This is also a great time to order some food and drinks\, as well as get to know the other participants in the event! \n4:30pm – Drafting begins! We’ll start the draft promptly at 4:30\, so it’s a good idea to get here with enough time to make sure you’re not late. Once drafting begins\, players will have 60 minutes to draft and build their decks\, so quick thinking will give you a big advantage during this portion of the event. \n5:30pm – Round 1 begins! There will be 3 rounds\, during which\, players will have 50 minutes to compete in a best-2-out-of-3 match. If you’re game goes past the 50 minute time limit\, you and your opponent will have 3 turns collectively to decide a winner\, otherwise the game is a draw. If you had any games you still needed to play to complete your match\, they are also treated as draws. \nAround 8:30pm – Prizes will be awarded! All participants can expect to get at least 1 Booster Pack\, and can win additional packs depending on how they performed in the event\, as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays! \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Join Dungeon Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG introductory session! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This introductory session is for low tier characters which will be provided by the DM. If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to use. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home. \nThis session is a sample of our upcoming weekly campaign offering\, so try this out to see if the full campaign is a good fit for you!

DESCRIPTION:The Jigsaw Puzzle Race is back on!  Tables of 4 will compete to build the same 500 piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest. It’s $5 per person to enter\, and everyone at the winner’s table gets a 2-hour voucher for booking time in our exclusive VIP rooms. (That’s $40 in value for each person at the winning table!).  Also\, someone from your table can take home the puzzle. The image set for this event was from our last puzzle race. The puzzle this time will be similar\, but it will be a surprise for everyone. \nGrab some friends and sign up for your tickets right here on this page to reserve your spot.  You can sign up individually as well and see what new friends you can make on puzzle day. (If you sign up individually and don’t have a table preference\, we suggest signing up for a seat at a table that is already partially filled if possible. DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! Come try a slight twist on the draft format: a Set Booster Draft! In this format\, all players will get 4 Set Booster Packs and draft with 3 of them as per a normal draft. The last pack is kept and opened at the end of drafting to add to the player’s card pool for deck building. Once all packs have been opened and drafted from\, players will make a deck with a minimum of 40 cards\, and then play in 3 rounds of best 2-out-of-3 matches\, just like a normal Limited event! \n5:30pm – Registration begins for players who didn’t sign up via our website. This is also a great time so meet the other players and order food and drinks. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck building begins! We’ll be starting this process exactly at 6\, so please arrive promptly if you can. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin. There will be three 50 minute rounds. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will get booster packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get promo packs. All participants will get a promotional Magic card as well as a Missing Pawn card to use during our Piecing It Together Events.

DESCRIPTION:Join Dungeon Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG introductory session! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This introductory session is for low tier characters which will be provided by the DM. If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to use. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home. \nThis session is a sample of our upcoming weekly campaign offering\, so try this out to see if the full campaign is a good fit for you!

SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic - Commander Masters Draft
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! Come gather at The Missing Piece and enjoy a very special event: a Commander Draft with the new Commander Masters set! How is a commander draft different from a normal draft? Well… \nPlayers will start the event with three 20-card packs. They will open the first pack\, pick 2 cards from what was opened\, and then pass the rest of that pack to the player on theirleft. Once there are no more cards to pick from\, players will open their second pack\, pick 2 cards\, and pass the rest to the player on their right. The third round of drafting is the same as the first\, with players passing cards to their left again. \nOnce drafting is completed\, players willuse the cards they drafted to build a deck that has a minimum of 60 cards in it. At least 1 of those cards will act as your Commander\, and the rest of your deck must match its color identity with your Commander. All single-color and colorless cards that can be treated as your Commander are treated as having the Partner mechanic\, and you are allowed to have any number of copies of the same card in your deck. \n5:30pm – Sign ups for players that didn’t sign up through our website begins. This is also a great chance to get some food or drinks before the event\, and meet the other players that are participating! \n6:00pm – Drafting begins. Players will have 60 minutes to draft and deck build. Also\, drafting will begin promptly at 6pm\, so please make sure you arrive with plenty of time to sign up before then. \n7:00pm – Round 1 begins! There will be two 90-minute rounds. Each round\, players will gain points based on their performance in their games to determine prizes. \nAround 10pm – The event ends\, and prizes are given out! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will get Booster Packs\, 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get Promo Packs\, and all participants will get a promotional MAgic card\, as well as a Missing Pawn card they can use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays!

SUMMARY:Friday Night Magic - Tag-Team Commander
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Planeswalkers! Let’s commemorate the upcoming Commander Masters set with a twist on the Commander Format! In our interpretation of a Tag-Team game of Commander\, the following rules apply: \n1\, Two teams will compete against each other\, but only 1 player from each team will play at a time. \n2\, The first players from each team begins with 20 life and may perform 1 free mulligan after determining the starting player. \n3\, When the first player of a team is eliminated\, They will step away from the game with whatever cards were in their hand\, in exile\, and remaining in their deck. they will leave any permanents they owned as they were at the time of their elimination\, as well as their graveyard. The second player for that team will then sit down\, shuffle their deck\, offer the opponent a chance to cut the deck\, set their life to 20 (This will not be seen as gaining life)\, and draw 7 cards with no mulligan. It then immediately becomes the new player’s turn\, beginning at their Untap Step. This will be treated similarly to an “End the turn” effect. \n4\, If a player was the first player for their team in the previous round\, then they will be the second player in the next round. \n5\, Players may not exchange decks with each other between rounds. However\, 1 player in the team may change which deck they are playing with each round. If one player changes their deck\, the other player must use the deck they played in the previous round. \n5:30 – Registration begins for players that didn’t register on our website. This is also a great time to grab some food and drinks while you’re waiting for the event to begin. If you do not already have a partner for the event\, this is a great time to find a teammate and see which decks you have tht might compliment each other best. \n6:00pm – Rounds begin! There will be three 60 minute rounds. \nAround 9:00pm – Prizes are awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will get booster packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th will get Promo Packs\, and all players will receive a promotional Magic card* as well as a Missing Pawn card that can be used during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays! \n* While supplies last.
