SUMMARY:After School D&D - Mondays - 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join Game Master Danielle and other middle school adventurers to explore fantasy worlds and embark on epic adventures in this PG campaign! You decide how to act and what happens next as we traverse dangerous dungeons\, solve puzzles\, and fight monsters in this role playing game. This campaign will be directed by the players\, so bring a character up to 3rd level or make your own with us! If you have a 5th edition players guide and dice\, please bring them; both can be purchased at the shop beforehand\, but it’s not necessary. Character sheets\, paper\, pencils\, dice\, and books will be available for all players to share. \nWe expect sessions to finish on time and ask that children have a plan for getting home. Early pickups can be arranged ahead of time as necessary\, but they disrupt the immersion and should be avoided if possible. Danielle is an experienced social worker and teen mentor comfortable with managing a variety of feelings/abilities\, however\, if there is something we should be sensitive about\, please note it in the survey\, along with your contact information and plan for getting home. \nNightly Schedule: \n4-5: Games\, character creation\, world building \n(Students can catch up from the week\, play other games from the library\, work on their character build\, or help world build etc.) \n5-5:30: Dinner (food will be available for sale at the cafe counter) \n5:30-6:30: Dungeons and Dragons campaign! \n  \nCampaigns Dates: \nNew Year (5+2): Jan 6\, 13\, 27\, Feb 3\, 10 \nDrop-In tickets for 20 Jan & 17 Feb (no school days) \nSpring (7): Feb 24\, Mar 3\, 10\, 17\, 24\, 31\, Apr 7 \nDrop-In tickets for April 14 (spring break) \nSchool Year Finale (6+1): April 21\, 28\, May 5\, 12\, 19\, June 2 \nDrop-in tickets for May 26 (Memorial Day) \n

SUMMARY:Jigsaw Puzzle Race!
DESCRIPTION:The Jigsaw Puzzle Race is back on!  Tables of 4 will compete to build the same 500 piece jigsaw puzzle the fastest. It’s $5 per person to enter\, and everyone at the winner’s table gets a 2-hour voucher for booking time in our exclusive VIP rooms. (That’s $40 in value for each person at the winning table!).  Also\, someone from your table can take home the puzzle. The image set for this event posting was from one of our previous puzzle races. The puzzle this time will be a surprise for everyone. \nGrab some friends and sign up for your tickets right here on this page to reserve your spot.  You can sign up individually as well and see what new friends you can make on puzzle day. (If you sign up individually and don’t have a table preference\, we suggest signing up for a seat at a table that is already partially filled if possible. That way you won’t be at a table by yourself against a full table at the event!) \nIf the event fills up\, you can sign up for the waitlist below as well. We often get last minute cancellations and it helps to have some people on standby to fill in the available seats. If there are no open spots\, you can always build another puzzle with the other waitlisters for fun!

SUMMARY:Digimon Card Game April Event
DESCRIPTION:Welcome Tamers! Come on down to The Missing Piece to participate in the April Store event! This event will be run in our unique Tag-Tamer format\, so please read the rules below to make sure you understand how to play: \n1. Two teams consisting of two players each will play against each other. Teams will alternate which member is taking a turn when the memory gauge passes over to them. This should create an order like so: Player 1 (Team A) -> Player 2 (Team B) -> Player 3 (Team A) -> Player 4 (Team B) -> Play 1 (Team A) again. \n2. Each player will have a 50 card deck\, and a Digi-Egg Deck containing anywhere from 0 to 5 Digi-Egg cards. Both decks within a team must build their decks as if it was one deck. This means there cannot be more than 1 copy of a restricted card between the two decks\, no more than 4 copies of an unrestricted card\, and no more than 50 copies of cards that allow that many copies within a deck. \n3. After players have finished any mulligans for their opening hands\, teams will create their shared Security Stack. The Security Stack will start with 3 cards from each player for a total of 6 cards. These cards must be initially arranged so the first card is owned by one teammate\, the next card is owned by the other teammate\, etc. \n4. Unlike in a normal game\, the first turn player is allowed to draw a card. Play then continues normally from there\, following the turn order demonstrated above. \n5. When a card of effect looks for a condition to be met by “your opponent” (for example: “If your opponent has 8 cards in their hand…”)\, you may choose which member of the opposing team meets the criteria. Similarly\, when attacking your opponents’ Security\, it is important to indicate which of the two players you are attacking for effects like Raid. However\, either teammate may activate the Blocker ability of their Digimon to block an attack\, regardless of who was targeted. \n6. In a similar vein to rule 5\, treat a card effect that says “both players” to instead read as “all players”. \nThe event will be scheduled as follows: \n2:30pm – In person sign ups will begin for players that didn’t register through our website. This is also a good time to double check and make sure you and your teammate’s decks follow the deckbuilding restrictions listed above\, as well as buy any food or drink from our friendly barista staff. \n3:00pm – Round 1 pairings are announced. There will be three 60-minute rounds where teams will play a best-of-1 match. \nAround 6pm – Prizes are awarded! All players can expect to receive promotional items for participating. Prizes may vary between players depending on their performance in the event.
