SUMMARY:Dungeons & Dragons (for Middle Schoolers)
DESCRIPTION:Every Monday from 3:30p until 7p an experienced Dungeon Master will be running a D&D adventure for players with “little to no experience” in mind. Five (5) players maximum. \nSignups on a first come\, first served basis. \nWhat To Expect: The first thing your middle-schooler will do is create a character at the table right before they start their adventure\, so no pre-generated characters allowed.  All player characters are Human\, all Classes from the Players Handbook\, and no evil characters or character concepts. \nThe DM will guide all players through the procedures of rolling dice and role-playing a character. Every plot will have “PG” themes including heroism\, teamwork\, overcoming adversity\, creative problem-solving\, grace under pressure\, and honor. \nTo Be Ready for the Game: Players are encouraged\, to bring their own dice\, paper (eg. a journal)\, and/or pencils. Players are also encouraged to own a copy of the Player’s Handbook D&D 5th edition. Dice and Player’s Handbooks are available for purchase at The Missing Piece. \nCode of Conduct: The DM will require all players to show respect to everyone in the room\, and will encourage being patient\, listening to others\, and willing collaboration. The DM will not allow abusive language\, derogatory terms\, or “I was just joking” aimed at anyone in the room\, (although monsters and villains are fair game.) The DM will base all adventures in the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition world. The use of violence\, dishonesty\, conniving\, and magic allowed only in role play (& roll play). The DM may or may not give second chances. \nPlayers are required to have all cell phones\, tablets\, & laptops turned off during gameplay. \nThe phone number of a parent (or responsible adult) is required by the DM prior to the game starting. A parent is required to indicate if a minor child is or is not allowed to walk home unescorted from the shop. \n

DESCRIPTION:Is everything coming Unglued? Feeling a little Unhinged? Well have no fear! We at The Missing Piece are here to help take away that Unstable feeling with a special draft event. Don’t worry about whether or not it’s Unsanctioned though\, cause we’ll be going to Unfinity and BEYOND! \nLike any draft\, players will get 3 booster packs to open one at a time\, pick 1 card\, and pass the rest to the next player. What will be different is how many of the cards interact with each other\, as well as other players\, and who knows what else! Unfinity marks the first time that an Un-Set is printed with black borders. To tell if a card is legal for play in other formats\, look for an acorn-shaped icon at the bottom of the card. If that’s there\, then that card is NOT legal to use in formats like Modern or Commander. \n5:30pm – Registration begins for players that didn’t already sign up for the event through our website. \n6:00pm – Drafting and deck building begins. We start promptly at 6\, so please be sure to get to the shop with enough time to order any food or drinks you might want before hand. \n6:50pm – Rounds begin. There will be three 50-minute rounds where players will play a best-two-out-of-three match. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place will receive Booster Packs. 4th\, 5th\, 6th\, 7th\, and 8th place will get Promo Packs. All participants will get a promotional Magic card as well as a special card to use during our Piecing It Together events on Sundays!

Instead of an entry fee for the event\, players bring 11 cards to add to the Community Cube before the draft begins. \n5:30pm – Registration begins. \n6:00pm – Drafting and Deckbuilding begins. Drafting will begin promptly at 6\, so make sure you arrive with enough time to register and buy any food or drink you may want to have beforehand. \n6:50pm – Pairings and Rounds begin. There will be three 50 minute rounds. \nAround 9:45pm – Prizes are awarded! All participants will get to take 11 cards from the cards they drafted during the event\, and can expect to receive an additional promotional Magic card. 1st place\, however\, will get to look through the entire cube to select their prizes. Players will also get a special card to use during our Piecing It Together event on Sundays.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome Pokémon Trainers! You’ve been challenged to battle it out at The Missing Piece where we’re celebrating the release of the new Silver Tempest set for the Pokémon TCG! \nPlease sign up ahead of time on this page\, or at the register in store. Drinks and food available for purchase\, but please be ready to go at noon! \n12:00pm – Deckbuilding begins! Players will have 30 minutes to build a 40 card deck. Prerelease kits contain a premade deck and 5 booster packs. You can use any cards you pull from these packs to alter the deck as you see fit. You will also receive extra booster packs on us (amount depends on number of attendees). \n12:30pm – Round 1 begins! The event has three 50-minute rounds. Players will play a best-of-three match where they set up the game with 4 prize cards instead of the usual 6. \nAround 4:00pm – Prizes will be awarded!
